So how can "God or WhateverIsOutThere" expect us to know what to make of them?Edwardtbabinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13036816926421936940noreply@blogger.comBlogger4125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975441920322165048.post-51530335661977833082023-02-04T12:38:47.610-08:002023-02-04T12:38:47.610-08:00This is really the crux of the matter for me. I'm always disappointed by how few people engaging in religious studies (professional or otherwise) talk about intense religious experiences like NDEs, OBEs, visions etc. considering the undeniable impact they've had on the world religions. Gregory Shushan and Jeff Kripal are good on this, thankfully, and I'm sure there are many others, but a majority still don't appear to take them very seriously.

Edward, I have to say a big thank you for putting this together. It's really vital that we get a handle on just how varied and strange these experiences can be.

Pedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17056013949417764372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975441920322165048.post-60851976111143329562019-09-12T23:21:21.384-07:002019-09-12T23:21:21.384-07:00Akhurnu, We don’t know who any of the alleged 500 ...Akhurnu, We don’t know who any of the alleged 500 witnesses were. The resurrection tales raise plenty of questions. The NT use of the OT raises plenty of questions.

Also, the point about amazing coincidences not being associated with religion is that whenever a religious person experiences an amazing coincidence they simply interpret it via their their religion. From a UK paper yet was not even published in the Bermuda paper where our happened and is likely just made- up filler for the paper.) has nothing to do with religion if there is no stated religious connection or anything that links it to such. It's just weird happenings, not so weird happenings, and creative tale- spinning.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14223195492025231230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8975441920322165048.post-11203108788984668462017-06-29T21:49:17.656-07:002017-06-29T21:49:17.656-07:00 Which has the most evidence throughout the world ... Which has the most evidence throughout the world and requires the least evidence. Which has miracles coraborated by more than one or two people? I mean large numbers of people, like the 500 witnesses to the resurrected sightings of Christ or the multitudes who witnessed the 6-day war? How about fulfilled prophecies written about hundreds and thousands of years before they happened? Do I understand? No. But the evidence points me to one God, and one Savior.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14223195492025231230noreply@blogger.com
